Meet Dr. Tiffany Cudjoe-John aka Dr. John

Tiffany Cudjoe-John, MD, Psychiatrist

Dr. John is a dedicated psychiatrist with a passion for understanding and addressing the intricate interplay between mind, body, and soul. Her journey into psychiatry began after graduating with a degree in Chemistry from the esteemed Johns Hopkins University. Despite initially setting her sights on a career in surgery, her experiences at SUNY Downstate medical school unveiled a deeper calling.

It was during her rotations that she made a profound realization: regardless of the medical specialty, patients often grappled with issues rooted in their mental health. This insight ignited her passion for psychiatry, recognizing its pivotal role in addressing not just the symptoms but the underlying causes of suffering.

Driven by a desire to heal both the mind and body, Dr. John embarked on her psychiatric residency at Zucker Hillside Hospital. Here, she immersed herself in the complexities of the human psyche, refining her clinical acumen and deepening her empathy for those facing mental health challenges.

Today, Dr. John stands as a beacon of hope for her patients, offering a safe space for healing and growth. With a holistic approach that integrates evidence-based treatments in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy with personalized care, she guides individuals on their journey towards mental wellness.

Dr. John empowers individuals to navigate their mental health journey with resilience and hope. She believes in fostering a collaborative and trusting relationship with her patients, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. John is deeply engaged in advancing mental health education and advocacy. Through speaking engagements, community outreach initiatives, and participation in research endeavors, she strives to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and enhance access to quality mental health care for all.
